Comments from the person in charge of each piece of additional content

The following is a list of works to be added, along with comments from those in charge.

"Tanabata."

Festival of the Weaver (July 7th)

It is very important to know about the history of Japanese events. It is because it gives us a chance to learn about the Japanese sense of season and culture. In this issue, we have added a story about the origin of July 7, Tanabata. We hope that this story will trigger your interest in Japanese culture by learning about the roots of the well-known custom of writing wishes on tanzaku. This is also recommended for users living overseas.

The Ningyo Hime.

Sleeping Beauty (fairy tale)

This is another famous story, but it is not a story with a so-called happy ending. We would like you to savor a little sad story in the midst of a stable relationship between a parent and a child. Also, if you think about what you would have done if you were the mermaid princess or if you were the prince, you can appreciate the story even more deeply.

Foxes and Grapes

foxes and grapes

The theme of this story is "sore loser. While it is possible to make fun of the fox for failing and being a sore loser, it is also possible to think of it as a story that captures human nature well. I hope you will ask your children, "If you were a fox, how would you feel? I hope you will talk to your children about it.

Parent-child communication through illustrations.

The illustrations are drawn with a touch that matches the world view and atmosphere of the work so that the reader will be interested not only in the content but also in the illustrations as a starting point. In addition, the text of the story is not too long to make it easy to read, and we have also devised ways to incorporate content cut from the original story into the illustrations. We have also tried to include illustrations of content that was cut from the original story. We also hope that the story will provide an opportunity for parents and children to discuss the story together.

Free updates for users begin 6/13.

Users will be able to use it immediately, reflected in a free update starting 6/13.
