(Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kei Inabe), a developer and seller of medical devices, launched the "Baby Alarm E-204," an infant body motion sensor that supports the safety of babies during sleep, on February 26 (Thursday).

The "Baby Alarm E-204" is a product that detects body movements, including breathing, of infants using a sophisticated sensor built into the panel. When placed under a mat or bedding and turned on, the E-204 accurately detects body movements of infants during sleep. If no body movement is detected for 20 seconds, an alarm alerts the user to the danger.
SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), a leading cause of death among infants, as well as accidents such as falling out of bed and suffocation, have become a problem, and we have developed this product to create an environment where such accidents can be prevented as much as possible.

From the previous model "Baby Alarm E-201",Increased sensor panel size by approximately 1.3 timesThe new system is designed to detect a wider range of body motion, thereby improving safety and ease of use.

Background of the development of the Baby Alarm E-204

Achievements and Improvements

The Baby Alarm series has been installed in more than 1,000 maternity hospitals and daycare facilities nationwide. In the process, we have received requests for larger and wider coverage of baby's movements. The new model "E-204" has expanded the size of the sensor panel by approximately 1.3 times to increase the sensing range, enabling more reliable detection of body movement.

Price

While other companies' products are expensive in both selling price and rental fee, the "E-204" has a selling price of 10,780 yen (including tax).

We have also focused on improving cost performance, making it easier for more households to install the system.

Reviews by mothers who have used the "Baby Alarm" series (*)

Baby Alarm E-201" and "Baby Alarm E-202" are body movement sensors for infants.

I was so anxious that I checked my child's breathing several times every night, exhausted both physically and emotionally.
Since installing this, I feel much better and can sleep better between night feedings! I'm really glad I bought it."

I saw them using body motion sensors in the hospital and was so anxious to get home that I bought one in a hurry."
It was very easy to use and even though I am not a fan of opportunities, I was able to install and use it right away. Also, I thought body motion sensors were expensive, so I was surprised at the affordable price."

I was introduced to this product at my maternity hospital and immediately purchased it. It is a product of Babysmile, which is famous for its MerciPot, so I feel safe using it. The green light flashes in response to breathing while in use, so I appreciate that I can check it with my eyes!"

Dangers lurk when babies sleep. Babies are at risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), an illness that can kill a baby without warning, as well as accidents such as falling out of bed or suffocating on bedding. It is important to call an ambulance and perform resuscitation as soon as possible after noticing any abnormalities."
