In cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, GovTech Tokyo offers a one-stop service for childcare activities to reduce the burden on parents to gather information on childcare facilities, make reservations for tours, and consult with local authorities regarding childcare activities online.
In order to facilitate the consideration of facilities for prospective children, a new "index simulation" has been implemented and is now available in nine municipalities, allowing parents to easily calculate their own childcare index, which indicates the level of childcare needs of each household.
The index simulation allows you to answer chatbot-style questions to calculate your total score, saving you the time and effort of reading and calculating index tables. We hope you will take advantage of this service.
*The results are only a simulation; the actual index is calculated by the municipality based on the application documents.
What Exponential Simulation Can Do
- Easily estimate household indices in a chatbot format.
- The "Share Results" button allows you to share the results with family members.
- Minimum index of households that were admitted to the daycare facility they wish to enter in the previous year can be referred to (Moved to the local government website).

What is the One-Stop Service for Childcare?
The one-stop service for daycare activities is an online, one-stop service provided by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and GovTech Tokyo that allows users to perform all procedures from searching for a daycare center to applying for admission. This service reduces the burden on parents by reducing the time and effort required to gather information on daycare facilities and make reservations for visits.
In November 2025, we launched the "Online Consultation Service for Child Care and Family Care" to provide online consultation on child care and family care activities.
Parents have commented, "It is good to be able to make an appointment for a visit anytime in between childcare," "The hurdle for making a visit has been lowered because I don't have to make a phone call," "I think it will save a lot of time in the daycare process," and "It is difficult to go out with my child, so it was good to be able to consult with the center online from home. It was good to be able to consult with them online from home, as it is difficult to go out with the children.
