TimeTree Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasuto Fukagawa), which enriches people's time worldwide, has had its calendar-sharing app ”TimeTree” selected as the official support app for Hiroshima Prefecture's "Joint Housework and Childcare Project." This project aims to rebalance the burden of household chores and childcare, which often falls disproportionately on women within households, and to establish a culture of "shared housework and shared parenting" where partners support each other in managing household chores, childcare, and work. TimeTree is a calendar sharing app that allows families and partners to share schedules. Through features like visualizing schedules and tasks, and adding comments to each event, TimeTree will support residents in enjoying family time more fully during the participatory campaign "Co-Parenting Hiroshima Challenge," running from December through March of the following year.

Background of Hiroshima Prefecture's "Shared Housework and Child-Rearing Project"

Hiroshima Prefecture is focusing on the tendency for household chores and childcare to disproportionately fall on women within families. It is working to establish "shared housework and shared parenting," where couples (or partners) actively participate together in household tasks and child-rearing.
