It has been reported that the abuse and death rate is 2.5 to 4 times higher and the divorce rate is 1.5 to 2 times higher in multiple birth families than in single birth families. In Japan, approximately 8,700 multiple births occur annually, but child-rearing information for multiple births is very limited, and many families are isolated due to difficulties in leaving the home and lack of information.

Despite its niche market of approximately 8,700 couples per year, the service received more than 5,200 downloads in the first six months after the prototype was released. This is proof that this service is strongly demanded by families with multiples. Furthermore, use of the service has spread to 13 countries, indicating that the isolation and burden of multiple births is a common social issue not only in Japan, but around the world.

As a mother of twins myself, I have been raising my children while feeling the loneliness of not being able to connect with others in the same situation. There were nights when I spent the entire night holding my crying twins in my arms one after the other, feeling as if I was in a dark tunnel with no way out. At times like these, being able to feel "not alone" and having a place to go to for sympathy and information, even if you are in a minority family, is the greatest support of all.
