〜In anticipation of the full-fledged launch of the "Anyone Can Go to Preschool System for Children" in FY2026, the scope of labor-saving operations for handling claims has been expanded to include temporary childcare services.

- The following is content from the press release -

(Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yoshinori Koike; hereinafter referred to as "Codomon") announces that it has started offering a new "guest billing function" for the billing management function "Anytime Billing" of its ICT system "CoDMON" for childcare and educational facilities, starting on September 3, 2025. CoDMON is an ICT system for childcare and education facilities.

CoDMON's "Anytime Billing" is a feature that allows parents of children enrolled at a facility to receive invoices for their children, which are sent to the Codomon Contacts app for parents, and credit card payments can be made. With the newly added "Guest Billing" function, facilities can use "Anytime Billing" to easily bill parents using temporary childcare services who are not using the Codomon Contacts for Parents application. While providing support to facilities that have adopted the system, we will continue to improve functions and expand payment methods based on user feedback to further promote labor-saving operations at facilities.

Background of Feature Additions

The number of parents using temporary childcare services is expected to increase sharply with the full-scale implementation of the "Anyone-Can-Do Daycare System for Children" starting in FY2026. In response to this, the collection and billing of childcare fees for temporary childcare services has become increasingly complicated and the workload has increased.

According to a survey conducted by Codomon (*1) on billing and collections targeting childcare facilities nationwide, "the time and effort required to collect and confirm the amount of money," "management and reminders to those who have not paid," and "anxiety about keeping cash in the facility and risk of theft or loss" were frequently cited as challenges in cash collection, indicating that facilities feel a great burden in cash settlement. It is clear that facilities feel a great burden for cash settlement.

Childcare workers spend 33%, or one-third of their total workload, on administrative tasks, an average of 63 hours per month (*2). (*2) Codomon has been supporting labor-saving operations and improvement of childcare quality with CoDMON, an ICT system for childcare and educational facilities that has the largest market share in the industry (*3). With the full-fledged launch of the "Anyone can go to preschool system for children," we have started development and provision of this function, believing that labor-saving and cashless office work for collection and billing operations will bring new value to both all child-rearing families and facilities.

What is CoDMON's "anytime billing"?

This function allows daycare facilities to create and send invoices to parents of children enrolled at the facility at any given time. This function can be used to bill daycare fees and usage fees on a case-by-case basis when account transfers cannot be made, and to confirm and manage the status of billing and collections. The system also supports cashless payment (credit card), which contributes to improved convenience for parents and streamlines collection operations at the facility.
