This is the best way to go out this summer! ALKOO by NAVITIME" for comfortable city walking| With IT enthusiast mom Ogamari's baby tech

The weather forecast of "life-threatening heat" has become the norm these days. The heat rises from the baby carrier, the stroller handle is hot, and the parent and child are exhausted before reaching the destination.... Summer outings are no longer leisure activities but demanding events! Still, there are days when you have to go out. This time, we would like to introduce "ALKOO by NAVITIME", which makes such midsummer city walks more comfortable!

Walking in the city becomes fun! Walking support application "ALKOO

ALKOO by NAVITIME (hereafter referred to as "ALKOO") is a smartphone application that makes daily walks and walks more enjoyable.
In addition to recording pedometers and walking routes, the device offers a variety of city-walking support functions, including suggestions for walking courses, a function for recording memories of outings, and a function for setting goals and recording the degree of achievement!
It is a walking partner application that goes beyond the boundaries of a step counting application and turns city walking into an "exciting habit.

In this issue, we will introduce two major features of ALKOO: "Shade Map" & "Icon Display"!

(i) "Shade map" that suggests the best route

I want to avoid direct sunlight. But you don't know where you can find shade. ALKOO's "Shade Map Function" is useful in such cases.
When searching for a route to a destination, you can select either the "normal route" or the "shaded route" and compare the shade rate and the time and number of steps required for each.

By moving the slider below the map, you can check the movement of shadows at different times of the day in real time! You can choose the coolest route according to the time of your trip.

At children's height, they may feel almost 7°C hotter than adults due to the ground's reflection. Simply choosing a shaded route will make walking much easier for children!

(2) Heat wave countermeasure icon display

Water supply spots" and "cooling shelters" are displayed on the map as a countermeasure against extreme heat!

(From the ALKOO announcement)

Water supply spot" icon indicating where hydration is available

The ALKOO map shows free water fountains and water machines (water spots) with icons.

They are often located in parks and public facilities and are a good guide to frequent hydration. If you check the location before you go out, you can go out with peace of mind.

Never miss a cool rest stop! The "Cooling Shelter" icon

"It's too hot, I can't take it anymore..." "I need to take a break in an air-conditioned place..." In such cases, you can rely on "cooling shelters"!
ALKOO also shows cooling shelters on the map, such as air-conditioned facilities and rest areas, which can be used to prevent heat stroke.
As you zoom in on the map, you can find the location of the surrounding cooling shelters. It is very important to know where you can "sit and cool off a bit" while out with your baby. It can also be used as a "shelter" in case of emergency.

Even on summer days when the heat makes going outside a chore, "ALKOO" will make you feel a little safer. By avoiding direct sunlight on shaded routes and knowing the spots where you can frequently drink water and take moderate breaks, the risk of heat stroke can be greatly reduced.

Just put this reassuring app in your phone and enjoy a fun and safe walk around town. We hope you will make use of it for your excursions this summer!

I went to a fireworks display with my family. My oldest daughter said, "I hate loud noises! How many more times?" and was enduring it desperately. On the other hand, my second daughter was staring at the fireworks with a straight face like a judge.
