6/26 Equipped with dialogue function using generated AI and "supportive voice" advertisements from companies

This is Goshi, representative of Kids Scope Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), a company that supports child-rearing through intellectual education. On June 26 (Thu.), we will expand the functions of our educational application "KIKASETE" and release a dialogue function using generative AI and a new type of advertising function using voice support from companies.




According to "Survey on the Actual Conditions of Home Study and Parents' Views on Education 2023" (Gakken, 2024*1), the top non-cognitive abilities that parents want their children to acquire are "the ability to accept others' opinions and convey their own thoughts appropriately" and "the ability to think and judge for themselves without relying on various types of information. However, noncognitive abilities are not measured by numerical values. However, non-cognitive abilities cannot be measured numerically, and many parents are concerned about how to help their children acquire these abilities.
KIKASETE has been providing content that develops children's ability to think and express themselves while having fun by using an interactive function to elicit children's opinions and thoughts on questions that do not have correct answers, starting with picture book reading.
We are pleased to announce the release of two new functions: (1) a dialogue function that utilizes generative AI, and (2) an advertising function that plays a voice message at the end of the learning process. The dialogue function uses generative AI to respond to children's comments, encouraging children's free thinking by getting close to each individual child. In-app advertising is often avoided, but based on research showing that "comments praising effort have a positive impact on children" (*2), short messages of support such as "Thank you for sharing your story with us" and "We will be waiting for you again tomorrow" will be used at the end of the study to connect children, their parents, and companies in a positive circle. We have developed an advertisement that connects children, parents, and companies through a positive circle and is not aversive to them.
Since its release in 2019, more than 70,000 families have used our service and parents have told us that we are there to help them raise their children. We will continue to support parents who are involved in their children's growth and parenting through our services.
