GovTech Tokyo expands its one-stop service for childcare to 19 municipalities.

GovTech Tokyo, in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, has developed the "GovTech Tokyo" program.Tokyo Digital 2030 VisionBased on the "Children's DX", which is a breakthrough in the reform of services for Tokyo residents, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has been promoting the "Children's DX". We would like to reiterate that the one-stop service for childcare services announced on April 30, 2025 has been expanded to 19 municipalities and is now available from today.

What is the One-Stop Service for Childcare?

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and GovTech Tokyo provide an online, one-stop service that allows parents to gather information on childcare facilities, make reservations for tours, and apply for admission via smartphones and other devices. This service reduces the time and effort required to gather information on childcare facilities and make reservations for visits, thereby easing the burden on parents.

(1) What you can do with the One-Stop Service for Childcare

  1. Gather the latest information related to childcare services.
  2. You can apply online for an appointment to visit a childcare facility.
  3. Smooth transition to the local government's childcare facility admission application page.

(2) Method of use

The private childcare website "the search for a solution to a problem" (BABY JOB Co., Ltd.), "hoiciL(Codomon Co., Ltd.), or the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "TokyoTokyo Metropolitan Government's One-Stop Portal Site for ChildcareThe application is available from the "Tokyo Metropolitan Government One-Stop Portal Site for Child Care Services" (Japanese only). You can also directly access the "Tokyo Metropolitan Government's One-Stop Portal Site for Childcare Activities" from the Tokyo Application. *For more information on the Ho-Katsui One-Stop Project,Digital Service Bureau Websitefor more information.

Service provision has been expanded to 19 municipalities.

From July 18, 2025 (Fri.), the one-stop service for childcare services was expanded from 3 municipalities (123 preschools) to 19 municipalities (1,070 preschools) in Tokyo. 

*There is no change in the number of eligible childcare facilities from that announced on April 30. 

Target Municipalities

  1. Newly started at 133 parks in 3 municipalities (Itabashi, Adachi, and Chofu wards) that were the first to implement the program.
    (In the municipality concerned, 256 kindergartens have participated in the program, including 123 kindergartens that have been participating since 2024.)
  2. Newly started in 814 preschools in 16 municipalities (Minato, Koto, Shibuya, Suginami, Edogawa, Hachioji, Ome, Akishima, Machida, Hino, Komae, Higashiyamato, Kiyose, Musashimurayama, Tama, Nishitokyo)
