- 37.9% said they use the contact tool daily, and 40.7% said they use it several times a week, indicating that just under 80% of the facilities use the tool on a daily basis.
- Seventy percent of the respondents felt that communication and information sharing among staff members was a challenge, and nearly half of the respondents said they faced issues in checking the status of sharing and using private accounts of staff members.
Questionnaire results
Q1. Please select all tools you use to communicate with other staff members.

More than 70% of the facilities responded that LINE (private accounts of individual staff members) is the tool used for communication among staff members. More than half of the facilities also communicate by phone.
Q2. Of the above responses, which tool do you use most to communicate with other staff members?

LINE was also the most used tool, used by more than half of the respondents, followed by Codomon's intra-park communication function. Only about 10% of the facilities use the chat tools LINEworks and Chatwork frequently.
Q3. What is the main content of your contact tool?

As for the content of communication using tools, 36.2% of the facilities responded that it is for business communication and handover. Other respondents indicated that they use different tools depending on the content of the communication, indicating that a certain number of facilities use multiple communication tools.
Q4. What are the main contents of your contact tools?

The largest number of facilities answered that they use the communication tool every day (including holidays and after work), at 20.8%. Nearly 80% of the facilities use the tool monthly, indicating that they use it regularly.
On the other hand, more than 10% of the facilities do not use it for everyday communication, such as "only in case of emergency" or "as needed," but use it when urgent matters require it.
Q5. Do you feel that communication and information sharing among staff members is a challenge?

Regarding the issue of communication and information sharing, 70% of the facilities responded "Yes," indicating that many facilities have issues with communication among staff.
Q6. Please select all the issues you feel are challenges in communication among staff members.

As for specific issues in communication among staff members, many facilities faced communication issues such as "It is difficult to check who has been informed and to what extent" and "It is difficult to inform the entire staff," as well as "It is difficult to communicate in arbitrary groups such as event events and class units," and "There are no tools to communicate with specific staff members. There were also many facilities that faced issues related to the functionality of the tools, such as "difficulty in communicating with specific staff members" and "lack of tools to communicate with specific staff members.
Although most of the LINE communication in Q1 and Q2 was done through staff members' personal accounts, we also found that many facilities feel that the "use of private staff accounts" is an issue. The reasons behind the continued use of LINE despite the challenges may be that there are few appropriate tools for communication within the facility, or that even if a tool is introduced, the staff cannot master its use.
