Nippon Kotsu's EDS (Expert Driver Service) "Kids' Taxi" App Renewed

Redesigned! Now possible to book multiple days and send images via the chat function!

(headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Taiji Wakabayashi, President & CEO; hereinafter "Nihon Kotsu") will renew its EDS (Expert Driver Service)® "Kids' Taxi" application for reservations on April 7, 2025.

Since October 2016, the "Kids' Taxi" service of Nihon Kotsu, which can be used for children's important trips such as cram school and lessons, has been available for ordering through a dedicated app, and now, in response to customer requests, the service has been redesigned and enhanced to further improve convenience. The app is now redesigned and enhanced to further improve convenience for customers.

Nippon Kotsu's "Kids' Taxi" will continue to strive to provide more convenient and comfortable services in order to contribute to solving social issues as a service that supports child-rearing.

Major Modifications

1) Multiple days can now be selected.

You can now make reservations for up to five days at a time, saving you the trouble of making reservations one day at a time.

2) Upgraded contact book (chat) functionality

The contact book (chat function with the crew) used to be a text-only communication, but now it can also be used to send pictures. For example, when children are riding alone and you want to inform them of landmarks such as buildings, you can use the photo transmission function as visual information to make the ride smoother.

(3) Enhanced security

Enhanced app security and improved user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).

In connection with this update, the application will be temporarily suspended from midnight on Sunday, April 6, 2025, to noon on the following Monday, April 7, 2025, for launching the application, checking reservations, and making new reservations. The new application will be available from noon on Monday, April 7, 2025, after the update process is completed.

You will need to set a new password when logging in after the application update is complete.

About "Kids' Taxi

This is a completely reservation-based service that provides transportation for children to and from school, cram school, etc., on behalf of busy parents. Our cab drivers are qualified with experience in child-rearing, childcare, and lifesaving training, and they are available for children alone.

We can also accommodate passengers with newborns and infants, making it possible for them to leave the hospital after childbirth, visit the shrine, travel to distant places, or return to their hometowns.

We can provide child seats (about 0-12 years old) according to the growth of your child.

Available area: Either the pick-up or drop-off location must be within the 23 wards of Tokyo, Mitaka City, or Musashino City.

Reservations and applications for "Kids' Taxi" can only be made through the dedicated smartphone application. Reservations are accepted from one month to 24 hours prior to the date of use.

Please enter the date, time, pick-up and drop-off locations, and the child safety seat, and an estimate will be automatically calculated. After confirming the estimate, we will make a formal arrangement.

Payment is made online by credit card, so there is no need to make payment in the car (credit card information must be registered in the app in advance).
