Avex Entertainment Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Katsumi Kuroiwa, President; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") has formed a business alliance with JOYKU, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Juichi Mawari), and will start matching professional dancers who teach at Avex Dance Master, one of Japan's largest dance schools operated by JOYKU.
JOYKU" is a service that matches people with national qualifications such as childcare worker and educational skills with daycare centers and childcare facilities nationwide. The service, which started in 2021, has 3,600 registered users and 318 facilities nationwide (as of February 2025), and many childcare facilities are using the service.
Avex Dance Master is one of the largest dance schools in Japan and has been operated by Avex since 2003. Currently, the school has been introduced to approximately 200 facilities, with a total of more than 40,000 students taking classes. The school has approximately 700 professional dancers who have completed the Avex-approved dance program, and has produced numerous artists and celebrities, making it a mainstay service in Avex's training business.
Aim of this service
In today's childcare field, the overload of work for childcare workers has become a major issue. In addition to childcare, many teachers feel overburdened by the wide range of duties required, including piano, dance, and exercise instruction. JOYKU" creates an environment in which childcare teachers can concentrate on their primary duties by matching them with specialized instructors. On the other hand, due to changes in life stages caused by marriage, childbirth, and childcare, the number of professional dancers who cannot work in dance even though they have the skills is increasing every year.
Through this business alliance, we believe that the application will enable the preschool facilities to match excellent dance instructors with the time they need, and professional dancers will be able to use their spare time to make dance their career, thereby providing high-quality services for preschool facilities, dancers, and facility users.

Lessons at kindergartens and nursery schools are often held in the morning or during the daytime, allowing students to continue taking dance lessons while raising children. It is easy for those who want to work for a longer period of time to work only when they want to, and the fact that the instructor's fee is immediately credited to their account allows them to feel that they have worked more. My own child also attends a daycare center, and I would like to see this service introduced at children's preschools as well, and I think there is a need for parents as well, so I would be happy if the service spreads further.
Dance Education Needs

Through one year of lectures and on-the-job training, students learn the elements necessary to become a dance instructor, and by passing the final exam, they can obtain a license to teach at Avex.
Licenses can be obtained by passing the Avex Street Dance Certification Instructor or by passing the certification test based on a comprehensive evaluation of technical skills, mock lessons, written test, and interview.
