(Shinagawa, Tokyo / President: Shinichi Kobayashi), a group company of Gakken Holdings (Shinagawa, Tokyo / President: Hiroaki Miyahara), will launch an in-school online training service for nursery schools, kindergartens and certified childcare centers on April 1, 2025. HOINQ" (https://hoinq.jp(the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has started
Preschools are facing a number of challenges, including a shortage of childcare personnel, recruitment and retention issues, and securing enough preschoolers due to the declining birthrate. The Gakken Group has been supporting preschools for 70 years since the publication of picture books for preschool children. We will provide a new service that meets the needs of childcare providers and preschools by utilizing the know-how and content that the Gakken Group has cultivated over the years.

In the "New Direction of Childcare Policy" released by the Administration for Children and Families, one of the three pillars to be promoted is "securing and enhancing high-quality childcare. The policy states that progress has been made in resolving quantitative issues such as the problem of children on waiting lists and "a shift away from 'expansion of the quantity of childcare'". In addition, in securing childcare personnel, which determines the quality of childcare, the shortage of human resources and the high turnover rate are pressing issues. In addition, many preschools are faced with the challenge of recruiting new children due to the unstoppable decline in the birthrate.
Since publishing picture books for preschool children in 1952, we have been supporting the relationship between caregivers and children for more than 70 years, including the publication of instructional books for caregivers.
We believe that in order for preschools to be attractive to parents and job seekers, and for there to be less turnover, it is essential to improve the quality of staff and their teamwork. Therefore, we have decided to launch an in-school online training service that contributes to both of these goals as a new way of training.
New in-school online training service to learn from each other and create communication in 15 minutes
Because the Gakken Group operates daycare centers and other preschool sites, the service directly listens to the voices of childcare providers and responds to their "I wanted to participate in this kind of training". This online training program provides busy, understaffed childcare providers with opportunities for communication and helps improve the quality of childcare.
(1) Learn in as little as 15 minutes
→Æ Busy childcare providers with a shortage of human resources can take advantage of their spare time to take the course.
(2) Content that emphasizes "mutual learning and discussion" among staff members, rather than just one-way lectures
→Expect to discover and realize more than the content of the training.
→Communication among staff members can be encouraged.
(3) Practical training to consider better childcare based on common situations
→The staff can learn from each other how to deal with problems that commonly occur in the childcare field.
→Share different views on childcare and learn from each other.

Future Service Development
The accelerating birthrate decline and increasing turnover rate will make it even more important for preschools to become more attractive. In order to respond to these changes, it is essential to improve the quality of childcare. We will continue to expand and improve our training content so that our customers can learn even when they are busy and can immediately put the content into practice.
