First Ascent donates "ainenne" bedside light to support baby sleep routines to Kids Door, a certified NPO

(Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Tomoyuki Hattori; hereinafter "the Company") donated "ainenne," a bed light that helps babies fall asleep, to Kids' Door, a certified NPO that is a pioneer in addressing child poverty in Japan (Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yumiko Watanabe; hereinafter "Kids' Door"). (located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Yumiko Watanabe, Chairman of the Board of Directors; hereinafter "Kids Door"), a pioneer in the fight against child poverty in Japan.

Kids Door provides a wide range of support for children from families with economic hardships, including learning support, food assistance, and hands-on activities, to expand the possibilities of the children who will lead the future. Raising children is a daily challenge for many families. In support of these efforts, we are pleased to announce that we have donated 63 units of "ainenne," a bed light developed by our company to help babies fall asleep.

Under our mission of "changing child-rearing through technology," we are aiming for a future where smiles and peace of mind can be shared in child-rearing settings. The donation of "ainenne" is just the first step. Through our innovative products and services, we would like to be a partner in society, challenging to better the child-rearing environment and opening up new possibilities with the children who will lead the future, and walking together with them.

What is AINENNE?

Taking a cue from the fact that the body clock is reset when humans are exposed to the morning sun, "ainenne" was developed with the aim of helping babies form a rhythm of waking and sleeping. Its main functions include an alarm function that uses LED light to mimic sunlight, a wake-up time recommendation function, and a white noise playback function to support waking and sleeping. The device also includes a baby cry analysis function developed by Minebea, which enables the user to analyze the baby's cry simply by pressing a button when the baby is crying. It can also be linked with our childcare recording application "Papatto Ikko" to enable visualization of sleep.

About Kids' Door, a certified non-profit organization

Since its establishment in 2009, the NPO has been working to address the issue of child poverty in Japan, offering free study groups and supportive meals for primary school students, high school students and young school dropouts from families in need in the Tokyo area, Miyagi Prefecture and Kobe City. From 2020, we have created a system called "Family Support", which provides information support, support, meals, furniture and school supplies to families with children throughout the country who have registered. Yumiko Watanabe, the President of the Board of Directors, is also a member of government committees such as the Agency for Children and Families and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
