Advantage Risk Management to Hold 9/12 Online Service Information Session on "Advantage Harmony Lite," an Absence Management System

On July 31, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) released the results of the "Basic Survey on Equal Employment" for fiscal 2023, which revealed that the rate of male employees taking childcare leave increased sharply to 30.11% in fiscal 2023.

Having achieved its initial target of 301 TP6T by FY2025 ahead of schedule, the government has raised its next target to 501 TP6T by FY2025 and 851 TP6T by FY2030, which is equivalent to the current rate of women taking maternity leave. The revision of the Child Care and Family Care Law in May of this year is part of this effort.

Currently, only 3 out of 10 men take maternity leave, but if this number increases to 8 or 9 out of 10, it will finally be necessary to shift to corporate management that assumes this. If we proceed according to our goal, that world will arrive in six years, which is not so far off. As personnel and labor relations personnel, we need to prepare now for the fact that the various procedures and communication tasks related to employees on leave will increase dramatically.
