TOPPAN Edge launches sales of "My New Discovery Program(TM)," a femtec service for companies.

Combining "My Temperature(R)" with "Behavior Change Training" and "Medical Consultation Service" to support improvement of women's work performance.

 (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Hideki Soeda, President; hereinafter "TOPPAN Edge"), a group company of TOPPAN Holdings Corporation, will start offering a femtec service for companies to support the improvement of women's health issues such as menstrual symptoms and labor performance. FemTech service "My New Discovery Program(TM)" will be available from August 21, 2024 (Wednesday).

 The "My New Discovery Program(TM)" is a service offered by companies that support employee health by combining the "My Temperature(R)"(*1) healthcare IoT service, which measures women's unique high/low temperature rhythm while they sleep and automatically links to a smartphone application to easily grasp measurement data and cycle predictions, with "behavior change training" that provides correct knowledge in the field of gynecology to help improve performance. This service combines "behavior change training" that provides correct knowledge in the field of gynecology and supports performance improvement, and "online medical consultation service" specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics, and is offered to companies that support employee health.

 By providing the "Discover New Me Program(TM)," it is possible to provide comprehensive support for working women, from understanding their current health issues to improving their behavior. For employers, the program can improve economic losses caused by women's specific health issues and provide a work environment that supports women's specific health issues.

 The "Discover New Me Program(TM)" was selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for the "FemTech Support Service Demonstration Project Subsidy" for fiscal 2023, and from August 2023 to January of the following year, a verification experiment was conducted to confirm the usefulness of the program for 292 working women in their 20s to 40s. As a result, it was confirmed that the program improved labor losses by approximately 350,000 yen (*2) per person per year.

Overview of the "Discover Me Program(TM)

The "My New Discovery Program(TM)" can be introduced as a one-stop service, ranging from individual condition monitoring by female employees using "My Temperature(R)," to health literacy improvement through "behavior change training," to online medical consultation services.

1. Health Care Device & App "My Temperature(R)"

 This is a health care device and application that measures the temperature inside clothing by attaching the device to a special nighttime bra and going to bed, allowing you to easily and hassle-free grasp the temperature rhythms, such as high and low temperature phases unique to women. In addition to visualizing daily temperature rhythms, the device predicts menstruation and ovulation dates and the likelihood of pregnancy, and displays advice according to the conditions of the day.

 By providing a convenient daily overview of women's unique physical condition, the program can enhance the continuity of mindset toward physical health management in the workplace, as well as their independence and autonomy.

2. Behavior Change Training (supervised by Dr. Keiko Matsumura, Director, Seijo Matsumura Clinic)

 Six training videos of approximately 10-20 minutes will be delivered. The videos provide correct gynecological knowledge and incorporate the knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy in the field of psychosomatic medicine to help women cope with health issues appropriately and improve their work performance by modifying cognitive biases, such as excessive aversion to menstrual symptoms, fatigue, and excessive self-doubt. We help women cope with their health challenges and improve their work performance.

 This training video was produced under the supervision of Dr. Keiko Matsumura (obstetrics and gynecology specialist), Seijo Matsumura Clinic.

3. Online Medical Consultation

You can use "OB/GYN Online" and "Pediatrics Online" (*4), telephone and line consultation services specializing in obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics provided by Kids Public Inc.

 Per person: from 500 yen/month (excluding tax)

Includes "My Temperature(R)" device and exclusive night bra. Prices vary depending on the number of people introduced, etc.
A separate fixed monthly fee will be charged.

Future Goals

 TOPPAN Edge aims to introduce the "My New Discovery Program(TM)" to more than 100 companies by fiscal 2026.
