(Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Kyotaro Sekinada) will start a new "Pre-School" course for children born between April 2, 2021 and April 1, 2022, in the Smile Zemi Preschool Course, a correspondence course taught on tablets, on September 27, 2024 (Friday). Prior to this, enrollment reservations will begin today, Tuesday, June 18. Monthly membership fees start at 2,980 yen (3,278 yen including tax).

By the age of two, children's spoken language rapidly increases, they become more curious, and they are able to use their hands and fingers more skillfully. In the new "Pre-Youth" course, we have prepared materials that focus on finger touch, seeing, and hearing to expand their interest in various things and help them learn the joy of learning and social skills. Students will learn concepts such as hiragana and numbers from the ground up, while developing a desire to learn new things for the first time.

Learning in 8 areas to broaden your interest in various things

The new "Pre-Youth" course offers courses in a total of eight areas. In "Hiragana," "Words," "Numbers," and "Forms," which familiarize children with hiragana and numbers, and "Chie," which nurtures their sense of sound and imagination, children begin by listening to the names of familiar objects and becoming familiar with the correspondence between letters and sounds. While touching the screen, children learn the concept of order and how to read numbers. Monthly courses such as "Seikatsu" to learn social skills necessary for daily life, "Eigo" to become familiar with native English voices in a fun way, and "Shizen" to develop interest in nature will be delivered every month.

Mechanisms to maintain motivation and a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction

The assignments you work on are read aloud and the answers are circled immediately, so you can keep motivated and learn without losing your motivation. When the tablet is activated, "Today's Mission" recommends courses to be tackled that day, so you can start without hesitation. Daily study progress is notified to "Mimamoru Net," which can be accessed from a parent's smartphone, so parents can praise their children's efforts at the right time, increasing their sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that they were able to "do it on their own.

With Smile Zemi's "Learning to Write," you can even write your first letters well!

Even small hands can learn to write with a pen as light as a pencil and with the tablet's "pressure detection system," which allows the user to write while holding the pen firmly. Students will watch videos on how to hold the pen, coloring pictures and drawing short lines to learn to move the pen freely. While working on hiragana stroke practice, you will be able to write your first characters with Smile Zemi.

Smile Zemi New "Pre-Senior" Course "Dokodemo Gakushu-dai" (Learning Platform Anywhere)

In the new "Pre-Senior" course, all students who have completed the enrollment reservation procedure by Sunday, July 28, 2024 and are enrolled in the course as of Friday, November 1, 2024, will receive a "Dokodemo Gakushu-dai" (anywhere study stand), whose sloping design helps children maintain correct posture. It is easy for children to carry and helps them develop the habit of studying in the living room.
