Jichi Medical Center Saitama Medical Center and our company have signed a joint research agreement on "Accuracy testing of the 'baby head shape measurement' application for patients undergoing helmet therapy" and will proceed with research on accuracy testing of the "baby head shape measurement" application.

The goal is to confirm and clarify the accuracy of the app by comparing the results of a highly accurate 3D scan of a baby undergoing helmet therapy with the results of the head captured by the app.

Comments from Dr. Junko Nakabari, Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Saitama Medical Center, Jichi Medical University

The "Baby Head Shape Measurement" application (hereafter referred to as "the application") is a simple measurement of head deformity. Medical treatment for cranial deformity includes evaluation of the severity of the distortion and differentiation from congenital diseases, which requires consultation by a specialist physician and photography by a special camera (3D scan).

The app takes a picture of the baby's head with a smartphone or tablet and easily quantifies the degree of distortion. In a study using a model, the app's measurement results were considered somewhat reliable.

This study will compare the results of the app with 3D scans of actual babies to confirm the accuracy of the app. The study began in December 2023, and there were people who decided to see a doctor after seeing the results of the app, as well as people who saw improvement in the results of the app during their helmet treatment and worked hard to get their child through the treatment. Some people have been working on their We hope to help many families by revealing the accuracy of the app.

Products Qurum Fit / Qurum

Japan Medical Company, which has been manufacturing cranial shape corrective helmets for many years, formed a development study committee and jointly developed this helmet with doctors from the departments of neurosurgery, pediatrics, neonatology, pediatric surgery, and plastic surgery. The helmet is made in Japan using a state-of-the-art 3D printer, is highly breathable to prevent overheating, and the cushion itself as well as the helmet can be washed in water. From the mechanism to the design, we have given shape to what babies need.

In addition to the high quality of the product itself, physicians who wish to use our helmets are required to attend a helmet proper treatment workshop and visit a leading medical institution (university hospital) with a proven track record of treatment. Even after the introduction of our helmets, physicians are requested to continue participating in the Helmet Appropriate Treatment Workshop.

This is our own standard that we decided and introduced with doctors, mainly the directors of the Japan Craniofacial Health Examination and Treatment Research Association, so that parents can receive cranial health examination and helmet treatment with confidence.

What we can do for "the utmost peace of mind". The introduction and post-introduction process of helmet therapy is another of our qualities.
