Family Concierge Service "Yohana Membership" Available Nationwide in Japan from June 12, 2024 (Wednesday)

Supporting a cumulative total of more than 10,000 families in Japan and the U.S., contributing to an average of approximately 13 hours of free time per month (*2), and launching an advance invitation campaign in new areas on May 14 (Tue.)

 Yohana Corporation (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan; Founder and CEO: Yoko Matsuoka), an investor in Panasonic Holdings Corporation 100%, will expand the coverage area of its family concierge service "Yohana Membership" to all 47 prefectures in Japan from June 12, 2024 (Wednesday).  Yohana Membership will be launched in Seattle, Washington in September 2021, and will be available throughout the U.S. in October 2022.(*1)The service has expanded to In Japan, the service started in Kanagawa Prefecture in September 2022 and is currently available in Tokyo and three other prefectures. Since its launch, the service has supported a cumulative total of more than 10,000 families in Japan and the U.S., and is used by a wide range of people, including single adults and seniors, with a focus on households raising children in their 30s and 40s. User survey conducted in Japan(*2)The most common reason for joining Yohana was to save time (85%), followed by "to get my to-do list done (63%)" and "to organize my house and get my chores done (33%)". When asked how much time they have saved by using Yohana, respondents answered that they have saved an average of about 13 hours per month. By expanding the service area nationwide on June 12, 2024, Yohana will contribute to the realization of an ideal life for even more customers in the future.

 Founded by Yoky Matsuoka, an executive officer of Panasonic Holdings Corporation and a mother of four children herself, Yohana is a wellbeing company that helps busy families prioritize the happiness of the whole family and cherish the time they have with each other. The first product, Yohana Membership, is a subscription-based family concierge service that supports the lives of busy families.
 When a Yohana member requests a to-do (task) for his/her life through the application, the Yohana team (real people) will listen to the member's request in detail and provide support in resolving the issue. For example, the app handles a wide range of to-dos, from creating daily menus and shopping lists, arranging ingredients, searching for children's lessons, arranging weekend outings and trips, making reservations and entering calendar entries, and so on.

CEO Yoky Matsuoka (Yoko Matsuoka)

 Born in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he completed his studies in electrical engineering and computer science at MIT, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University, and an associate professor at the University of Washington, where he was involved in the development of robotic devices that facilitate rehabilitation of the human body and brain. For his work in robotics and neuroscience, he received the MacArthur Award for Genius. In late 2009, he co-founded Google X, a company that helps children with physical and learning challenges. He joined Nest, a garage venture that was sold to Google in 2014, and has held key positions in Silicon Valley, including CEO of Quanttus, VP at Apple, CTO of Google Nest, and VP at Google. In October 2019, he joined Panasonic Corporation (now Panasonic Holdings Co., Ltd.), where he founded Yohana in 2020 and will publish his first book, "Creating a Future of Choice" (Toyo Keizai Inc.) in mid-March 2023.
