Soukong Engineering and F&I Create improve convenience of user registration for MISIRU, a face recognition AI unlocking system for childcare facilities, by using parents' smartphones.

- The following is content from the press release -

(Headquarters: Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture; President: Nobuyuki Urayama) announces that it has improved the service of "MISIRU," an automated lock release system for childcare facilities, which was jointly developed with F&I Create Inc.

The industry's first hassle-free and easy registration system is now even more convenient with improved functionality.

With MISIRU, preschools guide parents to a dedicated site for system registration, and parents can register themselves from their own smartphones. Furthermore, by registering for the year of graduation, the user's privileges are automatically revoked upon graduation, reducing the time and effort required to introduce the system to the preschool to the extent possible.

This easy registration system has greatly reduced the time and effort required to prepare for the initial introduction of facial recognition devices, which has been an issue until now, and we have already received many inquiries about the system.

Other MISIRU Features

1. automated gate unlocking system using face recognition AI

Unlocking the gate at the time of arrival at preschool was usually a huge manual operation, involving checking the parent's entry permit with a camera-equipped entry door unit and unlocking the gate.

MISIRU is a system that can automate the unlocking of gates to guardians whose faces are registered by linking a reader equipped with facial recognition AI with an electric lock.

2. face recognition reader and park office monitor are interlocked

There is also a need for park personnel to check who has arrived at the school at any given time.

MISIRU is designed to check the faces and names of visitors at any time by linking the face recognition reader with existing monitors in the office.

Check visitors at the park office monitor.

3. subsidies available

MISIRU is a project eligible for the subsidy for ICT for kindergartens and kindergarten-type certified kindergartens from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

This reduces costs, which has been one bottleneck in system implementation.

Prevent intrusion of suspicious persons by spoofing

Since general entrance passes can be easily forged, there was a risk of identity theft.

MISIRU recognizes the face of the registered guardian and unlocks the door, making it impossible for an unauthorized person to enter the building. In addition, there is no need to carry an entrance card with the guardian's name on it, so there is no need to worry about misuse of the card if it is lost.

How MISIRU works

1. interlocking system centered on gate authentication cameras

2. additional options to further reduce workload

MISIRU can be linked to various devices such as gate authentication cameras, servers, park office monitors, and hand-held smartphones by utilizing the cloud PBX as an option.

This enables upgrading to a system that can further support window operations from multiple angles.

For example, by linking with a smartphone, it is possible to remotely unlock the gate when a visitor arrives, or to directly transmit a transaction at the counter to a staff member's smartphone.

We will continue to pursue functional improvements to improve workload based on feedback from the early childhood care field.
