- The following is content from the press release -

(Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takashi Oda), developer of cloud-based life plan simulation software (11,700 members), will begin offering a "Maternity and Maternity Leave Analysis Function" on May 2, 2024 (Thursday).

A new "Maternity and Childcare Leave Analysis Function" has been added to the FP-UNIV life plan simulation software as of May 2, 2024 (Thursday). Based on data such as the employee's family structure, salary, employment status, and leave period, the "benefits" and "social insurance premium exemption amount" for maternity and childcare leave are estimated, and income and expenditures during leave are visualized in a cash flow chart. You can freely and accurately try out income and expenditure simulations under different conditions, such as the number of children expected, timing of leave, and choice of postpartum working style. This system eliminates the income concerns of those who plan to take leave and helps them to take maternity leave with peace of mind.

background

As part of its measures to combat declining birthrates, the government has set a target of increasing the rate of male employees taking childcare leave to 50% by 2025. However, in FY2022, the rate of male employees taking childcare leave was only 17.13%. Without the realization of a society in which both men and women can balance work and child rearing, we will not be able to reverse the trend of declining birthrates. Against this backdrop, in 2023 it will be mandatory for companies to disclose the status of childcare leave taken by their employees. This is an important step toward rethinking the way companies operate and encouraging both men and women to take childcare leave.
In order to alleviate the concerns of those planning to take parental leave, it is expected that there will be an increasing demand for life planning simulations that take into account maternity and paternity leave.

Overview of Products and Services

The FP-UNIV life planning software allows users to check objective cash flows based on tax and social security systems. As of 2024, the most popular functions include "New NISA Analysis," "Mortgage Analysis," "Retirement Income Analysis," "Pension Analysis," "Real Estate Investment Analysis," "Required Security Amount Analysis," and "Home Tax Analysis. Free online plans are available for individuals and corporations, and paid plans are available (from 5,000 yen/month).

And this May, this "Maternity and Childcare Leave Analysis Function" has been added. It calculates maternity and childcare leave benefits and pension amounts based on salary, employment status, and length of childcare leave. This function helps to confirm cash flow and encourages both men and women to take childcare leave with peace of mind.

Three Features

1. for those with employment insurance, cash flow based on salary can be estimated in detail.

Estimates are made by accounting for all relevant items such as salary suspension during the leave period, pro-rated salary for the month benefits begin and end, maternity allowance of 2/3 of the standard daily wage, and childcare leave benefits of 50% or 67% of the daily wage. The maximum and minimum benefit limits are also set to give you an accurate figure.

2. simulate the exemption from social insurance premiums.

The period and amount of exemption from national pension, employee's pension, employee's insurance, and nursing care insurance, the income and per capita rates of national health insurance, and the amount paid for employment insurance are calculated according to the employment status of the consultant.

3. future-oriented simulation is possible.

FP-UNIV is a comprehensive life planning software. You can compare and contrast various options while incorporating income and expenses during maternity leave into your lifetime cash flow. Try out different life plans as you envision your family's future.

Future Outlook

Research has shown that many employees who wish to take childcare leave are hesitant to do so because of "income concerns," and FP-UNIV will dispel such concerns by providing rigorous life planning software to support users so that each and every consultant can draw a life plan that suits them. Starting with the release of the "Maternity and Childcare Leave Analysis Function," as a life planning platform, FP-UNIV will continue to focus on supporting the declining birthrate and contribute to the realization of a society where people can balance work and childcare.

FP-UNIV Mission

With the spread of the Internet, we have entered an "age of self" in which anyone can easily gather expertise and solve their own problems. Experts of the future will be required to provide "detailed simulations" and "solutions using their expertise" that cannot be realized by individuals. What is required is not a life plan to sell specific products, but a system to simulate lifestyles according to each individual's condition. We will provide a system that allows each individual to have his or her own life plan, while gathering the knowledge of experts such as financial planners, laborers, lawyers, tax accountants, and banks.
