Supports smooth communication between students, faculty, and practicum site supervisors

FUJIFILM System Service Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Mane Inoue) will start offering "Childcare Practice Support System," "On-site Practice (Nutrition) Support System," and "Psychology Practice Support System," which support smooth communication between students, teachers, and supervisors during on-site practice at training schools for nursery teachers, registered dieticians, certified psychologists, and clinical psychologists. On June 1, we will start offering "Childcare Practice Support System," "Clinical Practice (Nutrition) Support System," and "Psychology Practice Support System.
Each training school provides on-site practical training at welfare and medical facilities to acquire practical skills. In general, field training is conducted in an analog format, in which students record their daily learning in a paper training journal, and teachers and supervisors at the training site enter comments in the journal. This makes it difficult for teachers to grasp the students' learning status in real time during the practical training, and thus, it is difficult to provide necessary guidance and follow-up in a timely manner. In addition, at training facilities, instructors are burdened with the limited time to write comments in the paper training logbooks.
This practical training support system is a web-based system that completes a series of practical training operations, from the recording of practical training by students to the confirmation, commenting, and evaluation of the practical training status by teachers and supervisors at the training site. This system enables more effective practical training guidance by providing real-time monitoring of the students' practical training status and accurate follow-up. The system also greatly reduces the burden on the training facilities that accept the students by allowing them to write in the training log without having to choose where or when to do so. Furthermore, since the training status can be shared on the system, optimal guidance tailored to each student can be provided in a timely manner, even when there are multiple supervisors.
We have provided similar practical training support systems for training schools for pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, nurses, social workers, and care workers. The "Practical Training Guidance and Management System" for pharmacist training schools has been introduced at approximately 90%*1 of pharmacy colleges and schools of pharmacy nationwide, and is used by approximately 10,000 pharmacy students each year. The new system has been developed based on our accumulated knowledge and know-how.
We are planning to hold seminars for training schools on the new system starting in June. Details will be announced on our official website.
In an aging society, the importance of human resources in the welfare and comedical*2 fields is increasing. Fujifilm System Service aims to contribute to solving social issues by providing a system that supports practical training to improve the practical skills of students and to support the training instructors who train future human resources in the fields of social welfare and medicine.
