The "Baby's Head Shape Measurement" application was developed by our company as a tool to meet the needs of parents and medical professionals who are increasingly concerned about the shape of infants' heads.
Normally, measurement of the shape of a baby's head is done at a medical institution using a dedicated 3D scanner, but with this application, the shape of a baby's head can be easily measured by simply taking a picture with a smartphone. The results of measurements taken with this application can also be used for a wide range of reference measurements. The total number of downloads has exceeded 200,000 (*Note 2). The application has been developed under the supervision of doctors, including the director of the Japan Craniofacial Health Examination and Treatment Research Association, and may also be useful during hospital examinations. For parents who have difficulty in accurately grasping their baby's cranial deformity, this application is gaining support as a simple measurement tool.
The "Baby Head Shape Measurement" also won the "Good Design Award 2022". The app's UI and operability, as well as its simple design that leads to a consultation with a specialized institution, were highly evaluated.
