Background of MIRAIS festival
At MIRAIS, more than 1,200 members set their own goals during their maternity leave and engage in a variety of activities to achieve them. 98% of the members are satisfied with their activities (according to a participant survey) after spending the limited time of their maternity leave at MIRAIS and gaining various experiences with their peers.
On the other hand, we sometimes receive comments that the activities are unclear to those who have never joined MIRAIS, and that the hurdle to joining is high. With this in mind, we decided to hold the MIRAIS festival to find a way to encourage more people to experience these activities.
We will be hosting a variety of events over a two-week period, so you can participate in the content that interests you at a time that suits you. And we have prepared a Facebook group exclusively for the MIRAIS festival. We have also created opportunities for participants to exchange opinions, interact with each other, and experience official MIRAIS work.
Through the MIRAIS festival, we want to give people the opportunity to spend a meaningful maternity leave by experiencing MIRAIS activities.
About MIRAIS, a maternity leave community
Representative: Mayumi Kuribayashi
Inauguration: August 2018
URL:https://www.ikukyu-mirais.com/
A community for people on maternity/paternity leave launched in August 2018 by CEO Mayumi Kuribayashi with the mission of eliminating "childcare leave spent somehow". The community has provided a place to "spend a meaningful childcare leave" by challenging themselves in fields they have no experience in and interacting with others who are going through childcare leave together, mainly through online activities, events, and corporate collaborations. A total of more than 1,200 people have participated to date (as of January 2024).
