~Adopted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for the Regional Transportation Co-creation Model Demonstration Project
- The following is content from the press release -
(Headquarters: Kariya, Aichi; President: Moritaka Yoshida), in cooperation with Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture, will begin a demonstration experiment of the "After-School Childcare Maas Project" that links education and transportation by providing transportation to and from lessons and educational programs. This project has been adopted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as a "Regional Transportation Co-creation Model Demonstration Project.
This verification experiment was launched as part of Kariya City's Smart City promotion and targets two elementary schools in the city. The elementary schools, Tsunagari Station (Industrial Promotion Center), study sites, and homes will be connected by shared cabs, which will use car navigation technology to determine the optimal combination of rides and routes to deliver the children. The Tsunagari Station provides a unique educational program and can also be used as a place for children to wait until their lesson time, and parents can make reservations through a dedicated system that provides a unified visualization of the transportation service and educational program.
This service is intended to address the concerns of parents who are unable to send their children to the lessons they want because of the burden of transporting them to and from school, as well as the educational needs of parents who want to enrich their children's after-school activities. We are also conducting a pilot service in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, as "Notekorin.
Through this demonstration experiment in Kariya City, we will confirm the needs and practicality of the system in order to study its full-scale operation and contribute to the creation of a town that is comfortable for everyone, including parents and families who are balancing work and child-rearing.
AISIN will continue to meet the needs of people and society and provide new value that will bring smiles to people's faces in the future.
