Hahakala Changes Name of Popular "Wedoo" Service to "OYA.NOTE"

OYA.NOTE" will inherit all the functions that "Wedoo" had, while further improving the user experience and providing new value.

TOKYO - October 27, 2023 - Today, Hahakala Inc. announced that it will change the name of its popular Wedoo service to "OYA.NOTE" in order to provide even more value to its users NOTE" in order to provide even more value to our customers. Wedoo" has been loved by many users and has been highly acclaimed as a service suitable for the new society. This name change is a step to evolve the brand to a new stage along with the evolution of the service.

Our Thoughts

The happiest state for childcare and the least burdensome for prenatal and postpartum women is for the couple to "work together".

The baby spends the gestation period in the woman's womb, but by no means is only the woman prepared for childbirth.

What the family members around her can do for a woman who is struggling with health problems and the act of growing a baby in her belly is to "do what is necessary ahead of time.

As the way women live and work changes, how long will we retain the value that "one-parenting is normal"? I would like to update the value system to include an overwhelming sense of party ownership on the part of men, where couples prepare for child rearing even before the birth of a child.

We have long been calling this service "Wedoo," where "We" as a couple "do," but through interviews with users and analysis of usage trends, we have redefined the kind of couple relationship and family that users are aiming for, and have come to believe that there may be a more suitable name. We have come to believe that there may be a more suitable name for this service.

OYA.NOTE is a "NOTE" that husband and wife "OYA" write down and keep for their children. We decided to change the name to "OYA.NOTE" because we wanted to make it a place to keep not only lists but also memories and thoughts, not only for ourselves but also for our parents and children.

NOTE can also be read as "OYA NO TE" (parent's hand). We are particular about the notation with the thought that it reminds us of the origin of child-rearing in today's busy world.

Katada's philosophy for products is to solve problems through action, not dialogue.

It is not as easy as it sounds to "support each other through difficult times. Providing other means of support besides dialogue will increase the number of options available to each couple.

OYA.NOTE has stripped down the mark that resembles a pregnant woman's stomach to the simplest possible expression. On the product side, the use of subdued earth colors as accents eliminates gender and the impression derived from it.

It is our strong hope that you will accept the milestone of welcoming a new family member in your own way, and that this will set a new standard for "becoming a parent".
