NTT DOCOMO invites entries for the 1st docomo Mirai Lab, a programming contest for free ideas from 3 years old to junior high school students.

As part of the "docomo Mirai Project," a new initiative aimed at supporting children's dreams and futures, NTT DOCOMO, INC. (hereinafter referred to as "DOCOMO") will hold the "1st docomo Mirai Lab," a programming contest for children from 3 years old to junior high school students nationwide, where even the first time can be fun! Programming Contest "The 1st docomo Mirai Lab" ("docomo Mirai Lab")," and will be accepting applications for programming entries with the theme of "New Inventions of the Future" from October 16, 2023 (Monday) to January 14, 2024 (Sunday).

 The "docomo Mirai Lab" is a programming contest held as part of the "docomo Mirai Project". Programming education is a new subject that has been explicitly introduced in the new Courses of Study, but the word "programming" often conjures up images of a difficult subject that requires specialized knowledge.

 DOCOMO, a company that promotes ICT for Education, will hold "docomo Mirai Lab" as a place where children can casually experience programming and express their ideas freely. This contest is designed to support children's first experiences with the concept of "Even First-Time Programmers Can Have Fun! the contest is designed to support children's first experiences. The theme for the DOCOMO Mirai Lab is "New Inventions for the Future. In addition to the Grand Prix and Grand Prize, prizes for the Power of Ideation, Power of Expression, and Power of the Future awards, as well as a variety of luxurious prizes will be offered as extra prizes.

 The final judging and awards ceremony will be held in Tokyo in March 2024. Those selected for the final judging will receive special benefits, including accommodation in Tokyo, a visit to the DAWN ver. beta alter ego robot café, a roundtable discussion with an alter ego robot pilot, and the opportunity to experience a futuristic digital art facility.
