(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akira Miyamoto) has announced the launch of "Memamorin," an anti-myopia light that tells you with a light and buzzer when your face comes close to the screen of a tablet or other device ( https://www.kingjim.co.jp/sp/hr10/  ) will go on sale on Friday, October 27, 2023. The target sales volume for the first year is 6,000 units.

In recent years, with the spread of digital devices such as tablets, "nearsightedness" among children due to close viewing of screens has become a serious social problem*1. Parents have to repeatedly remind their children to look at the screen from a distance, while the children do not know how far away they should be, resulting in a little difficulty that makes both parties feel uncomfortable. Focusing on this background, we are launching "Memamorin," an anti-myopia light that allows children themselves to keep an appropriate distance between their digital devices and their faces.

The anti-myopia light "MEMAMORON" is a product that supports anti-myopia measures by alerting you with a light and buzzer when your face comes close to the screen of a tablet or other device. When the user's face comes within approximately 30 cm*2 of the screen, the infrared distance-measuring sensor detects it and notifies the user with a blinking LED light and buzzer sound. The buzzer sound can be switched ON/OFF or muted.

It has a clip on the back and can be attached to various devices such as tablets, game consoles, and smartphones. It also comes with a stand so it can be used on a desk.

With the development of the anti-myopia light "Memamorin," King Jim aims to support children's health and make their lives more comfortable with new ideas.

Product Features

When a face comes close to the screen, a light and buzzer notify you.

When a face comes within about 30 cm of the screen, the LED light blinks and a buzzer sounds to notify the user. If the face gets too close, "MEMAMORIN" will tell the parent/guardian on behalf of the child, eliminating the child's doubts about how far away the face should be from the screen and the parent/guardian's fatigue of having to warn the child every time.

In addition, the buzzer sound can be switched on and off, so it can be used on trains, in libraries, and other places on the go.

Can be attached with a clip on the back

The clip on the back of the device allows it to be attached to a variety of devices, including tablets, smartphones, and game consoles.

Comes with a stand so it can be placed on the floor.

Since it can be used directly on a desk, it can also be used during tablet study. It can also be used in situations where a clip cannot be attached, such as reading.
