About MamaWell, an online health support service by a personal midwife
Service Overview
Pregnant women are asked to wear a wearable device, and their personal midwife remotely monitors daily health data measured by the device. Once a week, the user and personal midwife meet regularly to provide feedback on her physical condition and advice on physical activity to help her achieve a healthier pregnancy. The midwife can also be consulted via chat at any time to address individual concerns and worries. By providing detailed support for the health of pregnant women whose physical condition is changing rapidly, and by aiming to prevent the onset of pregnancy complications, we help them achieve a healthy and comfortable pregnancy.
background
With women entering the workforce and diversifying their life plans, Japan is currently facing the problem of an aging gestational age due to late marriages. the percentage of pregnant women over 35 years old has increased from about 101 TP7T in 1995 to 351 TP7T in 2020, and currently about one out of three pregnant women in Japan is One in three pregnant women in Japan today gives birth at an advanced age. Older pregnancies are known to increase the risk of pregnancy complications such as gestational hypertension and gestational depression, and it is expected to become increasingly important to prevent abnormalities in the course of pregnancy and maintain the health of pregnant women in the future.
To prevent pregnancy complications, it is important to engage in appropriate physical activity during pregnancy. However, Japanese people have a strong belief that it is better to rest as much as possible after pregnancy, and the inactivity of pregnant women is a serious problem, as less than 8% of pregnant women met the internationally recommended amount of activity.
