- The following is content from the press release -
(Katsushika-ku, Tokyo; President: Koichiro Kaneko; Capital: 10 million yen) will release on April 25 the "Bus Leave-Away Prevention Safety Device Mietsukita BA-001," an effective countermeasure against leaving passengers behind on buses. Priced at 77,000 yen (8m/12m connection cable type) and 88,000 yen (20m connection cable type) including tax. The BA-001 is a subsidy-eligible product that conforms to MLIT guidelines and has been certified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
In response to the serious problem of children being left unattended on shuttle buses, our company, which has been planning and developing in-vehicle products for about 40 years, has developed a safety device to prevent children from being left unattended in vehicles. This product "Mi-tsukita" consists of a main unit, an alarm unit, and a display unit, and is easy to install and simple to operate because all you have to do is connect these units with the included connecting cable.
When the engine is stopped (key off), the alarm unit installed at the rear end of the bus will begin to sound an alarm. The driver moves to the rear of the bus while checking for the presence of the passengers (children), and presses the button on the alarm unit installed at the end of the bus to stop the alarm.
The system is easy for anyone to understand, with only a simple operation to press the alarm sound release button and no complicated operation. If the driver does not confirm the presence or absence of the child, the alarm will sound louder in stages to avoid startling the child, and after 10 minutes, it will switch from an alarm tone to a vehicle horn tone to alert others of the possibility of being left behind.
Power is supplied from the vehicle battery. The system also comes with a sticker that can be attached to the outside of the vehicle to embody, visualize, and demonstrate that the company is engaged in accident prevention activities.
Although there is no particular maintenance required after installation, local governments have mandated thorough safety management for bus transportation, and we plan to offer plans that include on-site equipment inspections and driver training.
Normal operation can be checked by the buzzer sound at startup and the illumination of the indicator unit lamp mounted in an easily visible location on the driver's seat.
(which has a track record of supplying parts for the supercomputer "K computer" and its successor), and all parts are made in Japan. It can be installed on 12V and 24V vehicles, and can be retrofitted to any type of vehicle, not limited to buses. Three cable lengths (8m, 12m, and 20m) are available according to the size of the vehicle. This product offers the minimum necessary simple functions and a low price. This summer, we are planning to release a motion sensor that can add an automatic detection type function as an optional part.
