LINE's corporate mission is "CLOSING THE DISTANCE", which aims to create comfortable relationships by shortening the distance between people and people, and between people and information/services around the world. Currently, Open Chat is helping to solve various problems and concerns of users, including child-rearing, by bringing people closer together who have something in common. We have decided to launch this project as a first step, targeting users who are raising children, in order to support this situation. We will provide a place where people can casually talk with supporting companies and organizations that are working closely with those who are raising children, and use open chat to help resolve the worries and anxieties of mothers and fathers who are raising children alone.

24% of moms have used online exchanges, communities, and bulletin boards with people they have never met who are raising children
Nearly 90% of the respondents answered that the survey had led them to "resolve their worries and concerns about child rearing.
As social networking sites and the Internet have become popular ways to obtain information on child-rearing, we asked the respondents if they have "interacted online with people in child-rearing whom they have never met, or used online communities or bulletin boards where people in child-rearing gather" (n=316, single answer). 24% said they have, and the results were as follows The results showed that 24% of the respondents have used online communities or bulletin boards.
When those who responded that they do (n=75) were asked if they feel it has 'helped them resolve their parenting concerns and worries,' nearly 90%* responded that they do. Although only about 20% of moms are interacting online, the survey results from those who have experience with it indicate that it is a way to help resolve parenting concerns and worries. *Total of 28% "strongly agree" and 59% "somewhat agree
The reasons for online interaction and community/bulletin board use are
The top responses were "I can ask for advice that I can't say in real life," "I can ask for advice anytime," and "I don't have troublesome personal relationships.
When those who have used online interaction, communities, and bulletin boards (n=75, multiple answers) were asked the reason for their use, "Because I can ask for advice I can't say in real life," "Because I can ask for advice anytime," "Because there are no troublesome relationships," and "Because I can maintain a reasonable distance" came out on top, with the same percentage. The results were as follows.
Thanks to the distance that comes with being online, the ability to consult without worrying about time or content seems to be supported.
It is also believed that some of the 2021 mothers are connected with others with whom they have something in common, and have established a relationship where they can talk to each other easily.
