(Head office: Osaka, Japan)https://www.akachan.jp/On February 10, 2023 (Friday), Akachan Honpo, Inc. installed a vending machine at Chifune Hospital (Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka City), an acute care general hospital of Aijinkai Social Medical Corporation (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), where maternity and baby products are available for purchase. This is the first time for Akachan Honpo to install vending machines.
As a regional perinatal maternal and child medical center, Chifune Hospital is equipped with a maternal-fetal intensive care unit (MFICU with 6 beds), a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU with 15 beds), and a neonatal recovery unit (GCU with 20 beds), and is able to accept not only pregnant women and deliveries from the community but also "mothers and fetuses requiring intensive care" from distant delivery facilities, called maternal transport, as well as neonatal transport. The GCU is equipped with 20 beds (GCU 20 beds) to accommodate not only pregnant women and deliveries from the local community, but also "mothers and fetuses requiring intensive care" from distant delivery facilities, called maternal transport, and neonatal transport. The number of deliveries in FY2021, 2,400, was the highest in Osaka Prefecture.
The new Akachan Honpo vending machine was installed on the 5th floor where the maternity ward of Chifune Hospital is located.
The lineup includes products used before and after childbirth, wipes used immediately after birth, and other urgent items, for a total of 21 types of products. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Akachan Honpo products can be purchased as needed, even during the night or early morning hours.
Akachanhonpo and Chifune Hospital will continue to work together to support the lifestyles of people with babies through their services.

What is Chifune Hospital?
Chifune Hospital was established in 1958 as Chifune Clinic (Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka) and newly built and relocated in front of Fuku Station on the Hanshin Namba Line in 2017.It is a general hospital with 21 departments and a regional medical support hospital that plays a central role in community healthcare.
In addition, as a Regional Perinatal Maternal and Child Health Care Center in Osaka Prefecture, the hospital participates in the NMCS (Newborn Care Mutual Support System) and OGCS (Obstetrics and Gynecology Care Mutual Support System), and accepts emergency patients from a wide area in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics. Twenty-four obstetricians and 20 pediatricians work closely together to provide the best possible medical care for mothers and children.
We were also one of the first in Osaka Prefecture to introduce robot-assisted surgery and provide treatment in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology, urology, and surgery.
