We want to use AI to provide time for parents and children to interact with each other, even for the time-pressed child-rearing generation.

Nice to meet you. We are Maria Project K.K. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Tomomi Okuno), a company that supports child-rearing through intellectual education.

Regarding men and women in their 30s and 40s, housework time by life stage was 9 hours and 37 minutes per day for women with small children who have not yet entered elementary school, much longer than for women whose children are elementary school age or older and who are not married (NHK Broadcasting Culture Research Institute public opinion research department survey, 2020 survey ). Although men spend less time on housework, they work longer hours and are pressed for time in families with small children.

That is why we developed KIKASETE. After a picture book is read to the child on the app, it has a dialogue function that asks questions to elicit feelings and thoughts. Parents are able to communicate with their children by touching their thoughts while doing housework or their own things at the child's side who is playing the app. Until now, the app has published about 250 picture books of various kinds, from folktales to original stories, and one parent commented on a picture book about global warming, "I thought the content would be difficult for a 4-year-old, but I was surprised that the child who read the book was interested in it, telling his or her siblings about it. This year, a total of nine picture books will be released, including one that introduces the ecology of the "Amami rabbit," a species endemic to Japan, and a new picture book about playing in water and how to use water. (Currently 19,000 downloads, 95.8% of respondents "felt their children's growth" after one month of continuous use). We have created many picture books that children can enjoy and learn from, based on the voices of parents who want their children to acquire the ability to survive in the coming age. Through the release of this new release, we hope that KIKASETE will help parents who are pressed for time to make time for learning and parent-child communication.

We understand that you are very busy, but we would be grateful if you could cover this issue and help us to reach more people with the help of the press.
