OB/GYN Online validates the use of e-learning to support the health literacy of working women
(Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Naoya Hashimoto) has been selected as a subsidized business operator for the FY2022 "FemTech Support Service Demonstration Project Subsidy" for which PwC Consulting was selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
We will verify the results by developing and providing an e-learning program for employees/employees so that they can easily learn health information they need to know for healthy working from anywhere from their smartphones.
■Development and validation of an "e-learning program on women's specific health issues
Kids Public Inc. has been providing obstetrics and gynecology online services in the form of online medical consultation to address the concerns and worries that arise during all stages of a woman's life: before pregnancy, during pregnancy, postpartum, and after menopause.
Based on the know-how we have accumulated, the tens of thousands of consultations we have handled, and the extensive knowledge of our specialists, we are now offering an e-learning program (free use of e-learning tools and online consultations) for new employees on women-specific health issues to test its effectiveness.
■About the e-learning tool to be developed (Developed by Evolani Corporation)
The program can be conducted online, and the learning process is conducted in a chat format from a smartphone. Participants are first asked to answer multiple questions, and then medical and health information is automatically customized based on each participant's answers and displayed in text, maximizing learning efficiency.
In addition, the tool is expected to help the same user learn multiple times to ensure the retention of knowledge and promote behavioral change.
Call for Businesses to Participate in this Demonstration Project
We are currently looking for companies that are willing to cooperate with us in providing a test of the "e-learning program on women's health issues" to be developed under this project.
The program is open to male and female employees in their first to third year of employment (or up to their third year in the workforce) as new graduates at each company. Any number of participants are welcome.
The e-learning tool will be implemented twice during the fiscal year (September and December). In addition, online consultation with an obstetrician/gynecologist will be freely available during the project period.
The program is expected to help young employees understand the status of health issues, raise their awareness, and promote mutual understanding without incurring any costs, and will provide an opportunity to gain valuable insights into measures for women's advancement at their respective companies.

■Mr. Seow Yu, Founder/Executive Director, Evolani Corporation Comments
Learning about women's health issues at an early stage not only helps women to design their career plans, but also promotes understanding and support in the workplace as a whole. As a company that promotes diversity, it was very meaningful for us to be involved in the development of Kids Public's "e-Learning Program on Women's Health Issues".
This service is designed using our chatbot mini-application "anybot" and allows young, busy employees to easily learn about their own health in their spare time, as they can learn as much as they want, whenever they want, on their smart phones. We hope that it will help many companies to promote women's activities and health management.
Reina Toriumi, OB/GYN Online Physician Supervisor/Project Manager, Kids Public Inc.
Although there has been a recent focus on support for women's specific health issues, there are still many women who leave the workforce because of infertility treatment, pregnancy, or childbirth, or who suffer from menstrual symptoms that interfere with their work.
We proposed this e-learning program because we believe it is essential for working women to obtain appropriate information and medical knowledge about their own health from the early stages of employment, and for the entire workplace, including men, to understand and support women's specific health issues. We hope that more companies and young employees will participate in this program.
