Kids' Flea Market, an educational event sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of the Environment, and the Financial Services Agency, opens a store on "Maneboo," a money learning application for children.

From the Editor

We are seeing more and more openings in the "Maneboo" money learning application for children.
This time, "Kids' Flea Market," in which children use their own money to buy and sell items alone, can now be experienced on the app. This is a place for children to learn about economics, so it is a perfect fit for Maneboo.

Let's take a look at the details from the press release.

- The following is content from the press release -

(HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Shingo Arai; hereinafter "mediba") and ORSO Corporation (HQ: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshichika Sakamoto; hereinafter "ORSO") are jointly planning and developing the "Maneboo" money learning app for children, for the in-app store, (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Yoshihiko Akaike, President; hereinafter "HONEYTHING"), has started to open a store within the app on July 27, 2022 for "Kids' Flea Market," a financial education event planned and operated by HONEYTHING.

Maneboo" is a money learning app that allows children to learn about the money system through work experience and shopping using the in-app currency "Maneboo" at stores within the app, just like playing a game. By experiencing the work of an actual store in the app, children can acquire money knowledge with a greater sense of reality.

HONEYTHING plans and operates "Kids Flea Market," a flea market for children only, where children sell and buy things using real money. Through this hands-on educational event, we are promoting opportunities for children to learn not only about money, but also about reuse awareness, communication skills, and all the other things necessary in modern society while having fun. HONEYTHING supports the efforts of "Maneboo," which promotes financial education and ESD*1 for children as a money learning app, and will open a new "Kids' Flea Market" store within the app.
In the app store, you can enjoy three types of games: "Flea Market Shopping", "Change Watashi", and "Shushi-Keisan".

Comment from Mr. Yoshihiko Akaike, President of HONEYTHING Co.

Kids' Flea Market is a hands-on educational event held at commercial facilities across Japan as its main venue. We strongly feel the need for money education and have been working for the past 16 years to provide a place to learn through experience. We have been approached by "Maneboo" and strongly sympathize with the world they aim to create and their mission, and are pleased to be able to open a booth at the event. As this will be the first digital content for Kids' Flea Market, an offline event, we hope that it will serve as a conduit for learning so that children who attend the event can study even after they go home.

As a service that creates opportunities for children to learn about money and society in a fun way and serves as a catalyst for communication between parents and children, "Maneboo" will continue to make further updates and expand the number of companies opening stores.

About "Manebu

Maneboo" is a completely free money learning app for parents and children. Children can learn about money, jobs, products, etc., through "oshigoto" (fun game-like activities) and "okaimono" (shopping) using "manebu," the in-app currency earned through oshigoto. We hope that parents and children will enjoy playing the game while conversing with each other.
