About "Hakkoji
Haxey has developed and offered "Haxino Recipes," an early childhood education program that utilizes cooking, with the mission of fostering people who can make decisions based on their own axes, aiming for "a society that is not bound by the right answer or the norm.
As people spend more time at home with their children due to changes in the way they work following the Corona Disaster, including voluntary restraint from going out and the introduction of telework, there is a growing demand for activities that parents and children can engage in together as an ideal way to spend time at home. (*1)
Based on its past experience in providing this service, HACCP has developed a new type of intellectual education program, "Hakkoji," which is not just a hands-on program for children, but also combines a distance learning type support function that enables parents to improve the way they interact with their children. The program is designed to continuously draw out children's independence not only during the experience but also in their daily lives.
1 "Questionnaire on parent-child time at the Corona Disaster" asked of 47 mothers with children aged 3-6.
(Collected through a web-based survey from September 9 (Thursday) to 23 (Thursday), 2021)
Content provided (provided as slide-based materials with audio)
Common theme: "Think, decide, and practice by yourself.
Main contents "Hakushino Recipe (hereinafter referred to as "Hakurepi")
(Updated once a month, feedback available) *Trial type: takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes
This is a hands-on content where children actually cook one dish using seasonal vegetables.
The slide material is divided into three sections: "strategy meeting" to decide on ingredients, "cooking", and "presentation" after reflection.
The feature of this program is that it does not use existing recipes, and the child decides all the ingredients, tools, and seasonings to be used by him/herself.
After the lesson, the system provides feedback to the parents on their communication, based on analysis of the conversation data during the lesson. (Feedback system patent pending)
The 3-month monitoring program has shown that the quality of communication has improved as a result of the continuation of the program, and that there have been changes in the children's behavior and motivation as a result. (From the survey of continuing monitors / conducted from January to March 2021, 5 subjects)
