From the Editor

We recently reported the release of "Maneboo," a money learning application that even young children can learn about, and have added new companies to the storefront. We hope that they will continue to add new content at a good pace. Let's take a look at the added content from the release.

- The following is content from the press release -

(headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tomohiro Ebata, President & CEO; hereinafter "mediba"), in collaboration with ORSO Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Yoshichika Sakamoto, President & CEO; hereinafter "ORSO"), has welcomed Tatsunoko Productions, Inc. and Sanko Marketing Foods Inc. as the in-app stores for its money learning app "Maneboo", which is planned and developed jointly by mediba and ORSO. Ltd. and Sanko Marketing Foods Co.

Released by mediba on June 23, 2021, "Manebu" is a money learning app that allows children to gain work experience at in-app stores. Children can learn how money works through experiences such as shopping with "manebu," the in-app currency, and "manebu," just like playing a game. By experiencing the work of an actual store in the app, users can learn about money in a more realistic way, which is difficult to learn in school.

In order to further boost "Manebu", we have formed a new partnership with two new companies, Tatsunoko Productions, Inc. and Sanko Maichi Marketing Foods, Inc. to open two brands, Tatsunoko Productions and Maruga Suisan, in the application.

Comments from Mr. Shunsuke Nakajima, Deputy General Manager of Contents Business Department, Tatsunoko Productions, Inc.

We are very pleased to participate in the "Maneboo" work experience application project. Tatsunoko Productions has produced many works since its establishment in 1962. Through this project, we hope that children will be inspired by the dream of working in animation production, and become the future creators of content.

Mr. Shigehiro Nagasawa, President and Representative Director of Sanko Marketing Foods Co.

Our company operates about 50 restaurants mainly in Tokyo. Last year, through a partnership with the Fisheries Cooperative Association of Numazu City, we have been participating in the fishing industry in Suruga Bay with real fishermen, serving fresh fish we caught ourselves or auctioned off at the fish market as sashimi or sushi at the fishing port restaurant "Maruga Suisan" (Numazu) and sushi restaurant "Marugamaru" (Takadanobaba). We hope that "Manebu" will help children experience simulated work, and that together with their families, they will develop an interest in the fishing industry, fishermen, and the fish market.

We will continue to improve the functionality of "Maneboo" and expand the number of companies opening stores as a service that creates opportunities for children to learn about money and society in a fun way and serves as a catalyst for communication between parents and children.
