Money learning app "Maneboo" released on June 23 (Wed.) to enable parents and children to study about money while having fun -First "DAISO" and "Lotteria" to open virtual stores for the first time! ~ (Japanese only)

A new money education app is now available among learning apps that toddlers can also play with. The app teaches the structure of money through experiences using the in-app currency "Manebu". The first two apps are "DAISO" and "Lotteria". Let's take a look at the details of the app from the release

(headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tomohiro Ebata, President & CEO; hereinafter "mediba") has invited ORSO Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Yoshichika Sakamoto, President; hereinafter "ORSO") as its development partner to plan and develop the money learning application "Maneboo," which will be available on June 23, 2021. The application was launched on June 23, 2021.

In recent years, the need for financial literacy has been emphasized, and money education for young people has begun to be encouraged, with the increase in work experience facilities and money schools for kids, and the introduction of "asset building" classes in high school education starting in FY2022.
Against this backdrop, mediba, a member of the KDDI Group and responsible for the KDDI Group's service business, has focused on "high-quality education for all," which is Goal 4 of the SDGs. We are releasing "Maneboo" to tackle the issue of education in the area of fostering the next generation through the provision of services that fuse technology and education.

Maneboo" is a money learning app that allows children to learn about the money system like a game through experiences such as shopping using "Maneboo" and "Maneboo," an in-app currency that children can earn by working at stores within the app. In addition, by collecting "job stamps," which children receive when they work in the app, they can earn items that will change the town.

In the future, we are planning to implement "pieces of the Manebu lottery" that can be obtained by collecting "job stamps. When all the "pieces of the Manebu lottery" are collected, they will be entered into a drawing for Ponta points that can actually be used, allowing parents and children to enjoy the game even more.

As the first step in this project, mediba has formed a partnership with DAISO Corporation and LOTTERIA Corporation to open two brands, DAISO and LOTTERIA, in the app. It is expected that by experiencing the work of real stores in the app, users will be able to deepen their knowledge of money, which is difficult to learn in school, while feeling a sense of reality.

Do your job and get "Manebu"!
You can experience various jobs at the in-game store, such as working at the cash register and serving customers. By completing jobs, you will receive the in-game currency "Manebu" and up to 3 "job stamps" every day. Collecting "job stamps" will give you items that will change the town.

■ Let's shop using "Manebu"!
Collecting "manebu" allows you to make purchases in the app. The more items you purchase, the higher the grade of your "house" and "town" will be, and the more lively they will become.

Collect "pieces of Manebu lottery" and get Ponta points!
A feature will be implemented that will allow users to participate in a drawing for Ponta points that can actually be used if they collect four "pieces of the Manebu lottery," which they can get by collecting "job stamps.

This function is scheduled to be implemented in the future and is not available at this time.
