This product was developed with the aim and desire to prevent napping accidents in nursery schools.
The non-contact type (camera) monitors your child's "supine sleeping". When the child's face is turned sideways, the yellow LED lamp glows, and when the child is lying on his back, the red LED lamp glows to warn of danger. (You can also make a sound).
One camera can monitor up to 6 children, and the LED lamp can be installed in the naptime room, staff room, or anywhere else. (Direct connection to PC)
Development Process
The biggest challenge was to improve the accuracy of judging the orientation of the face, but after repeated trial and error, we finally solved this problem using a method that maximizes the individuality of each nursery school. The accuracy was improved by machine learning about 300,000 images for each nursery school.

This service aims to ease the burden of childcare providers to provide a safer nap monitoring environment by monitoring with live cameras. 1 camera can be used for up to 6 children, and the monthly fee per camera starts from 15,000 yen. The service is also very cost effective, starting at 15,000 yen per camera per month, and in principle, the company will support upgrades free of charge.
As is the case with machine learning systems in general, I'm curious to see what kind of user benefits there will be when accuracy is improved.
