From Tech.eu, news of funding for a startup focused on moving Berlin.
German relocation startup Move24 brings in €13 million in Series C round
Move24 provides moving and relocation services across Europe, including loading and unloading, storage, and handyman and cleaning services. With the new funding, the startup says it seeks become the "leading provider of relocation services of all kinds". The company also wants to offer more services connected with relocation, such as electricity contracts.
What...? Relocation means relocation, but is the social environment in Berlin so difficult to move that it is possible to become a start-up and raise funds...?
I took this up because of such a surprise. It seems that if you are connected to a neighboring country like Europe, the whole of Europe is considered as one area to be moved. If you have to move across countries, it must be a hassle...
Move24 is based on loading and unloading of goods and insurance against damage to goods, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and cleaning and setting up of large furniture, etc. at the moving-out or moving-in site are charged separately. In the Japanese sense, it is just a moving company. However, the hassle involved in moving in Europe should be considered a social problem, so much so that it has become a start-up.
