Kinsa Smart Ear Thermometer for babies and toddlers

A series of product introductions that were finalists at the 2016 BabyTechAward. This time it's a thermometer.

The characteristic is that you only need to put it to your ear when you take your temperature. You don't have to put it between your arms. The temperature you take can be sent to the app on your phone via Bluetooth, and at that time, you can record a log of symptoms (such as cough/lethargy/chills/runny nose), diagnosis details, and medications you've taken, so that the doctor can admonish you with that information when diagnosing you. You can register multiple people's logs.

According to Bridge's article (http://thebridge.jp/2015/09/kinsa-smart-ear-therometer), it seems to have started with crowdfunding. Now they count three product lineups and their business seems to be expanding steadily.

Product line up

There are two types available: the Smart Stick, which attaches to your phone's earphone jack and is placed in your mouth to take your temperature, and the Smart Thermometer, which you can simply place against your ear. The Stick is priced at 19$ and the Thermometer at 49$.

User Reviews

In the Amazon.com reviews of the Smart Thermometer, there are a certain number of people who are upset that the thermometer is not accurate. While that seems to be an issue for the future (and of course it has to be accurate), the design of the thermometer shines in its ease of handling. Some reviewers have even used it on their pets. Users are surpassing their creators more and more, lol.
