Editor: Please tell us about the features of the babysitter matching service, Kizuna Sitter.

Nakamura:Babysitter services in the world can be divided into two types, "dispatch type" and "matching type". Our service, Kizuna Sitter, falls into the "matching type" of the two. The biggest advantage of Kizuna Sitter is that all of our registered sitters have a national qualification as a nursery teacher, kindergarten teacher or nurse. The fee starts from 1,600 yen per hour (extra fee). Many temporary babysitting services charge tens of thousands of yen as an admission fee, but Kizuna Sitter does not charge any admission fee or annual fee. However, Kizuna Sitter does not charge any admission fee or annual fee, and we have a simple fee system where you pay only when you use the service. Many people who have used our service say, "Is it okay to ask for such a reasonable fee? (laughs).

Potential Childcare Workers and Waiting List Issues: ------ Tackling the Challenges Faced by the Childcare Industry

Editor: Please tell us about how and why you started Kizuna Shitter.

NAKAMURA: Currently, the childcare industry faces two major challenges: the increase in the number of potential childcare workers and the problem of children waiting for work. Latent childcare workers refer to childcare workers who want to work in the childcare field but cannot due to various mismatches. For example, nurseries would like childcare workers to work during morning child intake and evening and later pick-up times, but it is difficult for them to work during these times if they have children themselves. This mismatch in working hours is one of the factors causing the increase in the number of latent childcare workers, with data showing that around 60% of qualified employees are latent childcare workers.
Our company operates a service called 'Childcare Worker Bank! which helps nursery school teachers and other professionals to change jobs. The number of nursery teachers and kindergarten teachers registered with the Nursery Teacher Bank! Kizuna Sitter was started when we wondered if we could provide a service to reduce the burden of childcare for parents facing the problem of waiting children.
